ZIP IT UP!

The artwork of the (hopefully) up-coming artist Lauren Moyer is outstanding, in my opinion.

One recurring theme in her paintings is the use of animals as clothing, and how the whole "caring about the environment" thing only is a fad. How many will actually care when a new fad comes along? I know I will.

If you want to see more of her work, visit her website or blog.

TRIPPLE IT UP!

Sitting here, eating my Fair Trade müsli that comes in a carton bag made for recycling, I come to think of a site I found last winter. It contained pictures of the famous people supporting a Fair Trade campaign held by Oxfam maybe three or four years ago.

Don't your dimples appear when two of the things you love are combined in a successful way? Or, even better, THREE of them:
- fighting for Fair Trade,
- artistic, estethic and amusing photographs
- and celebrities getting things dumped at them!

Out of respect for the photographers I won't put up any pictures here, but I will gladly link you to this site. Haven't you always wanted to see Thom Yorke all smeared in chocolate, or Chris Martin buried in rice? Or how's about Damon Albarn soaked in tomatoes?

Don't forget to check out the sharp quotes and comments from the celebrities about the importance of fair trading / UP!

BUBBLE IT UP!

Koto Bolofo is a brilliant photographer.

Though, i couldn't help but notice one thing;
Richard Avedon's version, the original
Koto Bolofo's version

Inspiration or copying? A bit too much inspiration according to me.

WRAP IT UP!

Ladies and Gents, let us introduce ITUPs, the new it-blog (and yes, we are very self-righteous).

It's a blog without any strict guidelines, because we do what comes to our mind, but our key word is POWAH! You'll come to notice that we like writing certain words in upper-case. Another thing we like is making press items. Press item is a funny word. Or actually, it's two words.

Nevertheless, we're two somebodies from Sweden who felt like an it-blog was missing, so we made one up. Made IT UP! We can't really tell you what this blog will be offering in the nearest future, mainly because we don't even know that ourselves, but it will surely be based on our interests. What are our interests, you ask? Well, son, the up-coming posts will give you a hint.

Most of the time, we'll be writing as individuals, and not together. To make it easier for you to tell us apart, one of us is IT and the other one's UP - simple as that.

Remember, we ain't your average blogers. Keep your eyes open, because we will POWER IT UP!

Yours Sincerely - IT and UP
